Update that's LONG overdue! 28 weeks!!

Hello everyone! Yes, I know I haven't posted anything in quite some time but I promise to make up for it! Wow, a lot has been going on in our lives. First of all before I begin let me tell you all that the baby is doing great and moving around like crazy! All is well here and my next Dr.'s appt. will be on December 26th and I'll be seeing my Dr.'s husband as she's on maternity leave with the birth of her twin girls! I'll be seeing the Dr. now every 3 weeks. I can't believe I'm already 28 weeks along! I feel as if he's getting heavier and heavier in my belly! School has made it more rough on me lately with back pain and swelling but it's all for the wonderful end picture, our baby boy! I've actually been having a hard time sleeping at night and getting comfortable. Sometimes I'm wide awake at 2:00 in the morning and I'm just laying there feeling our baby kick and wiggle around. Carl tells me I need to just get my rest but it's hard when that's when he's most active! I usually toss and turn and some mornings I'm on the couch with pillows everywhere! It's never a dull night for me!

Along with that, it's been very hectic trying to juggle pregnancy and school. I'm almost done though! I graduate December 28th so only 6 more school days left! I have off from school Christmas Eve and Christmas Day thank goodness! I've had MANY senior tests to take along with computer tests trying to prepare for my state boards so it's been a rough last couple of weeks. The thought of getting to go home after I get off work and be with my husband and have a real life again is just so awesome to think about! It's been a very long road for the both of us but I'm happy the end is near. Carl and I will enjoy these next few months together before our baby arrives.

On December 8th Carl and I traveled to Nebraska to be with my family and friends for a baby shower! The weather was very questionable (it's Nebraska of course!) but we made it there and back safely. Rick and Betty were kind enough to let us borrow their vehicle for extra room for all the gifts! We got some amazing presents. I'll be posting pictures this weekend for all to see! We're so appreciative to everyone who was there. We're so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends. The baby's room is finally coming together. We haven't painted yet, but the crib and dresser/changing table are up and baby clothes are being washed and put away! It really hit me the other night when I was doing laundry for the baby and while folding his cute little onesies I realized how amazing this experience has been and how in just a few months he'll be here! Awww, the smell of Dreft baby laundry detergent!

I suppose I've rambled long enough! I'll update those pictures of my BIG belly and some of the baby shower and nursery as well. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and a safe New Years. 2008 here we come!!!

Love,

Crystal

Crystal,
I'm very proud of you for completing your school. I know how hard it was for you to go to school all day and then onto class until 10 every night. All of this will soon be behind you and the birth of my next grandchild will be your next mission. I can hardly wait to see him. Love you, Mom

Okay, now I'm stressed out. It sounds like you have so much more done than I do! Luckily, today's the first day of Christmas break, so I'm hoping to get a lot accomplished.
Maybe we'll see you at the doctor's office on Wednesday - our appointment's at 8:00. But if not, we'll definitely see you on Tuesday for Christmas. Can't wait!
