SPRING IS HERE!!!!!

Camden and I have been spending several days at the park taking advantage of my new work schedule. We had two picnics there last week! We sit under a nicely shaded tree, eat a yummy lunch with fruit for dessert and then we play! We go to the Bentonville park by the square. It's so pretty there and fun to look in all the cool shops around the park. One day we even ran into daddy eating lunch! We've had so much fun these last two weeks with the weather finally cooperating!

Camden is doing so much these days! He talks and talks and talks! All the time! Okay, so the other day we were in the kitchen and it sounded like he said he wanted a drink. In my mind I'm thinking, "No way Crystal, you're just imagining things and it was a coincidence." Then a little later my friend Lindsay came over and shortly after that my mom stopped by. They were both my witness when Camden crawled over to Lindsay, practically drooling at her slushy, and said, "I wun dink." Seriously, that's exactly how we heard it! Several times that night he said it in reference to drinking! YEA CAMDEN! He says several words but to put them together like that? WOW! The next day he was eating lunch and I was eating something different than him and he said, "I wun bite." It's like everyday that goes by he says more and more!! I love it!

Here's a breakdown of some of the words he can say...

• Mama and Dada of course
• Papa
• doggie
• kitty (He'll say Meme for the cat's meow)
• Moo for cow noises (he'll moo toward the window when we drive past a field of cows!)
• bana (for banana)
• ball
• Bam (this is when he swings the bat to the ball!)
• baby
• bath
• No and Don't. Most the time they're used together. (Seriously, he says this and in a really low tone voice too. It's kind of funny and kind of sad at the same time! Mama's just trying to teach him right from wrong!)
• Pat (this is the name of the hammer from the Walt Disney show "Handy Manny." He has all the characters and the little tool box that goes with it!)
• Bye Bye
• Thank You
• Dink for drink
• Carl says he has heard him say, "I love you daddy. I'm merely putting this on here for his own satisfaction. He'll get there someday dada!

Now, I'm sure I'm forgetting some but my goodness that's a lot of words for a one year old! I guess he's got the gift of gab from no other than his mama! I love hearing him say new words!

As for walking, it's SOOOO close! He's taken several steps to me the past few weeks and today for the first time he walked from the living room to the kitchen which was a HUGE accomplishment! I also took him to get my oil changed and he held onto my hand while we walked outside. A moment I've been looking forward to for a long time! I wouldn't say for sure he's walking yet, but each day that goes by he gets more and more brave!

This child eats banana's like a monkey!

He was so upset at the water fountain because he wanted to get "in" the water...

Doesn't it look like he has a mop on his head? Daddy won't let me cut it! It's still so bald around the sides of his ears it's beginning to look a bit silly! I love his curls in back though...
