Christmas was so amazing this year. We didn't have to rush off anywhere, get out of our pj's if we didn't want to and have as much candy or food as we could eat! It was so enjoyable! Chesleigh started off her morning earlier than most days. So, I knew Camden would still be tired so Chesleigh and I made our way into the kitchen away from the presents and we made my homemade monkey bread. It was delicious!! After we got breakfast started we woke Carl and Camden up. Camden was so sleepy... He kept saying "I just tired, I not ready yet!" When we reminded him that Santa came here and left him presents and we should go see, he woke up quickly! He saw his choo choo train set first and jumped up and down while skipping over to it! "Dada, Mama a Choo Choo train set!!" He was thrilled! The blue train goes around the track by itself. Chesleigh got a baby doll and the cutest pink cowgirl boots! Also, Santa brought the kids a new kitchen! I think that's my favorite so far. There are endless amounts of activities to do and you can still really use your imagination! It's the gift that keeps on giving!!! Camden loved all his presents, but I believe his most favorite was his new guitar. When he opened it he said, "A new guitar, like Jason Aldean!" This guitar didn't sound the best, but it looks so much like a real one. Thanks to Uncle Zeke tuning it up for us it now sounds awesome! Who knew??!!! Camden realized it didn't sound quite like a real one at first and said, "Dada, this guitar is broken." Well, it's all better now and he's been playing it ever since! Of course Santa brought him a new Jason Aldean cd so guess what we listened to all Christmas morning? You got it! Jason!
Camden also got books, puzzles, clothes, movies, bath toys, and games. Chesleigh got lots of clothes this year. She wasn't into unwrapping, she'd rather just be in the middle of it all but that's okay. She enjoyed watching and playing with the toys once they were opened. Chesleigh also got some new blocks, a Dora bath toy and some very cute clothes! Santa was very good to them this year. After we opened some of the presents Camden came up to us and said, " I asked Santa for an airplane for Christmas but I didn't get one." I had to explain to him that Santa had a lot of good little boys and girls to give gifts to so we can't always get everything we ask for. I said, "You also asked Santa for a Choo Choo train and you got one, don't you like it?" He said yes, and then moved on. Ha, it was so funny though seeing his innocent look on his face. We also shared with Camden Christmas morning that we were going to see Jason Aldean in concert in January! I know he doesn't have any concept of when that is, but we tried our best to say soon, we'll get to go see him! This wasn't apart of his Christmas present, but thought it would be nice to tell him that day. He said, "But I need him, I need him now!" Ha!
After presents and breakfast I opened our blinds to see a beautiful light dust of snow falling from the sky. At that moment it made me tear up a bit because we finally got our white (okay, small dusting) Christmas after all! Everything this day was perfect. Reflecting on our very healthy family, the joy of seeing my kids have a wonderful Christmas and being here with Carl to enjoy it all made this the happiest day for me. For us. We had the best Christmas ever.
