January 5th 2011...My daughter's 1st Birthday

Happy First Birthday Chesleigh!!!!!!!

My sweet daughter is already 1. I don't believe it. I can't believe it! She has grown so fast, it literally feels like I've only had her for a few short months and just all at once she's one year old. Chesleigh has such a sweet heart. She's happy, loving and LOVES to climb and play. Chesleigh is definitely going to hold her own. When Camden tries to take something away from her or bug her she screams so loud and her little face gets so red. No worries there. :) She is standing all on her own. The first steps are coming any day. Chesleigh loves playing with Camden too. She watches him, crawls after him and even giggles at him. It's so awesome to see them together...

This day was so special so I wanted to do something really fun with the kids. I decided to take them to this place called Jumpzone that has all these inflatables that have slides and you can bounce on with activities. It was so much fun! We were there playing for a few hours and the kids had a blast. I even went down one slide with Camden and screamed (really not knowing until Laura pointed it out) all the way down! We went with Aunt Betty and Grandma (Laura.) Afterwards we all got lunch together. We went to Camden's favorite place Colton's Steak House. The kids were wonderful. They both played well and ate well and I thought it would be perfect timing to have them all worn out, fed and then once we got home I could tuck them in their beds for a nice long nap. Ugh, it didn't go as planned...

Camden's booster seat slid off his chair and he fell on his back and the booster seat hit and busted his lip. I ran and picked him up and took him to the front of the restaurant and when I looked down there was blood everywhere. I hate blood. I instantly panicked and looked for Laura knowing she would know if he needed stitches, but he clearly did. It wasn't bad, but it definitely needed to be stitched. It was such a nightmare getting him into the right hands! We first went to his pediatrician but they were completely booked so they suggested we go to a Convenient (haha) Care Clinic in the same building. After an hour of waiting this awful dr. suggested we then go to the Emergency Room and hope to see a specialist, but couldn't really guarantee it. He basically didn't want to deal with restraining Camden while he stitched so that was the issue. I went back to his pediatrican and they were able to fit us in and they then referred us to an ENT. We ended up in the right place after all though. It took all afternoon, and lots of tears later. It was just a few stitches and I know it's not that big of a deal, but when it's your baby all tied up screaming and crying so hard, it's just the most awful thing to have to see. He's okay now :) Three stitches later and he'll have them out next Wednesday.
