J-A-S-O-N Aldean

The concert Camden had been waiting for since Christmas... Jason Aldean! His favorite Country Star!!! We really didn't know what to expect because let's face it, Camden is pretty young and we normally wouldn't have let him go to a concert but... He's his biggest fan! Camden and Carl and I had an AWESOME time! We had a nice dinner before the concert started (7:30, kinda late...) but Camden was so excited! First was Eric Church who put on a great show, Camden was amazed with how many people were there. When we were trying to explain to him what a concert was it was kind of hard for him to understand until he saw the arena and all the people. Camden was on our shoulders the entire time and we had pretty good seats so he could see everything. Camden didn't know the words to any Eric Church songs, but he really enjoyed watching. Then there was a break and we kept saying, "Jason Aldean is coming!" So...

When he first came out there were tons of drums going and lights flashing and Camden's eyes I thought were seriously going to pop out of his little head! I thought he'd be so excited and he was at first but when he saw him he had no emotion. I think he was in shock. At one point through his first song I kept shaking Camden's hand while on Carl's shoulders to see if he was okay. He was really just taking it all in. Then... "Big Green Tractor" came on and he broke into song! He knew the words and he was singing along playing his air guitar! People were pointing to their friends to look back our way to see Camden at his best! He was in the zone!!!! I told Carl when "Crazy Town" (his favorite song) came on we were going to run down from the section we were in to get a better look and we did just that! We got to the stairs and had a perfect view along with a security guard that didn't look happy that we were there. I said, "It's his favorite song is it okay if we just stand right here?" He looked angry and shook his head no. Then when the song started and Camden started singing he smiled and never made us move. Yea! We loved it! We had the BEST TIME ever! After he played his last song my friends came up to Camden and asked him how he liked the concert. Camden said, "I just don't want Jason Aldean to stop singing." I tried to reassure him that we'd see him again and then Camden hung his head down low and said, "I just want Jason Aldean to come to my house." Ha! He was tired and a little sad it was over, but he did awesome and really enjoyed it. We're looking forward to taking him to more concerts in the future.
