Week One...

WOW!

What an amazing, beautiful, exciting, exhausting, overwhelming, wonderful week this has been! WHEW! I feel like there's so much to say! Our first week home with Camden has been a dream come true! He's such a good baby! The first week or even up until now have been difficult due to my surgery, but each day gets easier. It's still painful to carry anything heavier than him and I'm trying not to do too much around the house (it's so hard!) Camden is eating wonderful. I was really worried about how breastfeeding would go but so far it's like text book! He is a VERY good eater! Actually to our surprise, he's very predictable so far. In the day time I feed him every two to three hours (sometimes if he's still hungry he'll eat an hour after his last feeding) and at night time he wakes up every two to three hours eats, we change his diaper and he goes right back to sleep! You can't get any better than that!

We've had lots of help though! Our parents, family and friends have been a huge help getting us settled in at home and preparing meals and holding Camden while we sleep! The lack of sleep hasn't really been too bad (YET!) My grandparents visited from Nebraska for a few days. It was so nice to see them and great that they were able to see Camden! He was content in Great-Grandma's arms! It was sad to see them leave, but we enjoyed their visit very much.

Camden had his first Dr.'s appt! The doctor said he looks wonderful! He said 99% of breastfed babies usually loose weight their first week of being born, but not Camden! He weighed 8.0 lbs. at birth and was 8 lbs. 4 oz. and grew 1/2 inch! WOW! I told the doctor it might be because I have enough breastmilk to feed triplets! He just laughed! It was a relief to get a thumbs up at the doctors it being our first week as new parents! They won't need to see him again until he's 2 months old.

We're looking foward to the Easter holiday & spending time with family! Camden hasn't met his Grandpa Bill yet! We can't wait to see you soon! Oh, and as some of you may have read on Margaret's blog, Camden and Ethan met eachother last week! It was so fun seeing them together knowing that they'll be so close and they're going to have so much fun playing together!! Camden must have been hungry, he was trying to eat Ethan's sweater! :) Thanks Margaret and Ethan for coming over to see us!

LOVE the pictures - Camden is so precious! I am SO glad that he is eating well (you have no idea how lucky you are to not have that extra stress in your life!)

Looks like Camden's been getting lots of lovin' from family. We'll have to stop by again soon and love on him some more (and visit with you!)

I'll call you in the next day or two.

You look great! :)

Camden is so perfect! I love that first picture. His face is ADORABLE! He is a good mix of the two of you.
You are so lucky to be nursing well and producing a lot of milk. I am glad to hear everything is going so well for you!
We will be in town for Easter and are hoping there is a minute you guys can spare so we can see you and your little angel.

Oh I also LOVED the maternity pictures you had taken. You look so beautiful in the one with you laying on the floor in front of his crib. What a beautiful mommy Camden has!
