Last night Camden was playing with his cousin William and Camden accidentally got knocked down and his front teeth bit into the inside of his lip! He was bleeding which made me and Carl both completely nauseous, but only for a few minutes. Immediately I thought that part of the inside of his lip that got bitten into got hooked over and in between his two front teeth! I mean, it looked like at the top of his two front teeth that the skin was stuck inside of it. After going back and forth of what we should do Camden was pretty calm and had stopped crying. We could lift his lip up and look but we were really torn if we should take him to the emergency room (and pay a ton of money) or just take him to his pediatrician in the morning. Because of Camden being so calm, we decided to take him home and go in the morning. Camden fell asleep well and slept the whole night through. The next morning he drank his milk and even ate his breakfast so that made us feel better. The pediatrician said she's never seen anything like it and sent us to an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor.
After putting him in the most horrible thing possible, like a straight jacket, with the proper tools the doctor thinks that his gums might just be growing that way down into his two top teeth and it maybe just looks worse than normal because it's red and swollen. I really do think I would have noticed before, but maybe not if the gums were really light. I don't know, we're tossed back and forth if it was like that before or not or if it really is stuck. We're going back on Thursday after everything heals to see what it looks like from there. Some kids if it grows down too far have part of their gums clipped, but he said it wasn't interfering with the spacing of Camden's teeth so it would be up to us if we wanted that procedure done. He was in a good mood today and even though Carl and I thought the worse, maybe it was like that all along? Surely I would have noticed when brushing his teeth? Or maybe it was so light before I didn't? So, the moral of the story is, look REALLY close into your baby's mouths so if they fall and hurt themselves you'll know how it looked prior to the injury!!
Oh, and on top of it all, on Friday I took Camden into the doctors and he had Roseola. A terrible rash all over his poor little body! He looks much better though! He's just had a rough week!

Poor little guy!! How awful sounding! Hopefully he won't need the procedure and it will all correct itself with time. I know how awful it is to watch your child be restrained for a medical reason. I just have to remind myself that we are lucky to have medical care for our children. Not all mothers/children are so fortunate in this world.
That is so strange that Gavin and Camden have Roseola at the same time. When Gavin's started to itch, it caused HUGE tantrums. I can't wait for it all to be over!!
You look fantastic by the way. That is a definite baby bump! I love the pictures of the baby. You can see it's parts so clearly! SOOO Precious!!
I had UTIs with both Gavin and Carrigan. They can be annoying to say the least! I am glad you are feeling well this pregnancy. Keep us all updated!
