5 Months Old

I can't believe my baby girl is already 5 months old! She is the happiest baby I have ever known and just so so sweet! She's so smiley! Every morning when she wakes up she will just grin and grin. I love it when all I have to do is smile at her and she smiles so big the paci falls right out of her mouth. Ahhh, it's the best. She is doing great. She is getting up once in the morning around 5 or 6 and eating and goes back to sleep until at least 7 or 8. She is teething right now. Sigh... It's been a little rough for me not being able to keep her happy like usual but I'm sure once that first tooth pops through she'll be much better. Just a lot of drooling!

Chesleigh will pucker up her lips and blow making the cutest noise and will do it on command if she sees you doing it. She loves her baths and her big brother. I always catch her grinning at him. She LOVES to be talked to. You could say anything and she lights up. She still wants to be swaddled at night. Camden was the same way. She'll just dig at her face otherwise. She's very close to sitting up but hasn't rolled over yet. Quite honestly, I think she's too chubby to!! Her legs are SO rolly polly! But I wouldn't have it any other way! We started her on cereal the other night for the first time. This will be her 4th night of cereal. She doesn't like it yet but I'm sure she will. She doesn't need cereal quite yet as she's doing very well with just breastmilk alone, but I wanted her to get used to the spoon feeding so in the next month I can introduce some veggies to her. She loves being outside. She will sit outside and usually fall asleep if we're out there long enough. When she sleeps she looks just like Camden when he was a baby. When she's awake, now that I believe she's getting dark hair, she looks like her daddy. Brows and all! Some people say she looks like me but I'll happily take it either way! She's so beautiful! I love having a daughter. She loves her Aunt Betty. Her whole face lights up when she see's her! Who doesn't love Aunt Betty right??!!
