Mother's Day 2011

I wish I wouldn't have forgotten my camera so I could share pictures with you, but I did.  We had a stressful yet wonderful Mother's Day.  I wanted to do something really fun with the kids so we decided to drive to Tulsa and go to the zoo!  Usually it takes about 2 hours to get there, but after 3 1/2 we finally made it.  We got lost through the construction!!  By the time we got to the zoo it was already 2:00 and the kids had not eaten lunch yet so they were starving!!!  Luckily we were able to eat when we got there and as we panicked and rushed to finish in enough time to actually walk the entire zoo (they closed at 5:00)  we realized we still had plenty of time to see everything.  Once we were settled and fed we really started to enjoy ourselves.  We rode the black train around the entire zoo and looked at every single animal possible!  Chesleigh was wonderful riding in the stroller and walking some too.  The zoo was a blast, it was a beautiful day, and I really enjoyed being with my family.

I would say the highlight of the day was at dinner.  As we were headed out of Tulsa we stopped at Ihop to eat dinner.  Chesleigh looked at me and said, "poop" "poop."  I took her and she went!!!!  At 16 months old she actually TOLD me when she needed to go and I was SO proud of her!!!!  She did this yesterday also at Betty's house!!!  Let's hope we're on a roll to more potty time!  Way to go Chesleigh!
