January 5, 2012 - Chesleigh's 2nd Birthday!

Build a Bear, here we COME!!

 Chesleigh was so excited she started running towards the door as if she's known about it her entire life! haha

 She got to get a special "Birthday Sticker!"

 Picking out the bear was really the hardest part.  Everything her little hands could grab she was interested in.  Aunt Betty and Danielle were there to help assist!  So happy they could enjoy the special day with us!  We all had our favorites so I think we were trying to talk her into the ones we liked!  When it came down to it, we chose a few and gave her an option.  Leaving it more simple was so much better.

 I was really impressed with how well she handled each step of the process.  She was excited to pick out the bear's songs and phrases.  And she was very good at stuffing the bear too!  The lady helping us said she could pick out 1 heart and stuff it inside the bear.  She grabbed a handful and in they went.  Her bear has a BIG heart let me tell ya!

 She was all about watching her sew the back of the bear up.  And I love how they make you kiss the items you place inside.  That's sweet!

 She loved giving her new bear a bath too!  Brushing and combing the bear was great to her.

 Chesleigh picked out a pair of boots for her new bear.  The funny thing is you know if you've ever been in the store the choices are so overwhelming!  I just knew once she saw a Rapunzel dress for her bear that's what she'd have to have, but not true.  It came down to a Disney Princess t-shirt or a soft pink heart sweater.  She chose the sweater.  After she picked everything out (including big girl underwear since she has been wearing them too) the bear ended up looking just like her!  A sweater, jeans, big girl underwear and  boots.  Isn't that funny?

 Oh, and it was great running into one of my clients, Emily, at Build a Bear.  Chesleigh dropped everything she was doing and just begged her to hold the baby.  It was very kind and brave of you Emily but that was so sweet to let Chesleigh hold your precious baby Hoyt!  She talked about him for days by the way!  She was gentle and sweet and even kissed his little head.  It melted my heart! 

 Here's the Final product!  She calls her Papa Bear.  There was a big Papa Bear on the inside of the store and I guess when she asked us what his name was it kind of stuck for what she wanted to call hers.  It works!  She had to get all the accessories of course too.  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the certificate!  It REALLY helps on the purchase of the bear!

 And special Birthday lunch at Olive Garden and even a little dessert we could share too.  I hope you had a WONDERFUL 2nd Birthday Chesleigh.  I can't believe you're already 2!
