Well, this afternoon I called my nurse because I hadn't felt the baby move all weekend or yesterday or today. I was concerned because I've had so much movement from the 14th week that I was getting worried not feeling the baby. The nurse at my Dr.'s office asked that I come in to see her as soon as possible just to check my blood pressure and the baby's heartbeat to make sure everything was alright. So, I went right on over (worried of course) but she found the heartbeat and everything is just fine! Whew! I was really nervous! I know that some women don't experience much movement until the 20th week or so of pregnancy, but since I had already felt the baby move so much before, something just didn't seem right. But all is perfect! The baby had a very strong heart beat of 161-164!! I even heard a loud "THUD" while we were listening to the baby's fast heartbeat and the nurse said, "Did you hear that?" She said, "That was your baby kicking!" So, the baby is still very active and is perfect in my book! I'm just very relieved that everything is okay. The nurse told me that she was glad I called and they always encourage their patients to call anytime they think something is wrong or have questions. I gave the nurse a BIG hug!!! Oh happy day!!!!! :)
Maybe I've asked for it and my baby will be kicking up a storm soon!! :) I still have my scheduled Dr.'s appointment tomorrow October 10th, and then I'll be posting a new belly picture and updating you on the date of the ultrasound in 1-2 weeks to find out the sex of the baby!
