Camden and baby make two!!!! :)

Camden is going to be a BIG Brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YES, that's right, WE'RE EXPECTING our 2nd Baby!!!!

Whew! Boy did it feel good to blurt this out FINALLY! We just shared the news with our parents last night and today. I told my mom and family over the weekend! I'm 2 months along (9 weeks this Sunday!) We found out the wonderful news on May 12th, just two days after Mother's Day! I was coming home from work while Camden was with his Aunt Betty and Uncle Rick at a Razorback Game. I was going to go tanning for the first time this year to get summer bod ready (ha, ya right) and was 6 days late and wanted to have some peace of mind. Still, wasn't a concern because there have been times that's happened before. I just knew I was being completely stupid and was more mad about wasting the money on the test more than anything because I just knew I wasn't pregnant. So, by myself just in case before I lye in a hot tanning bed, I take a pregnancy test. Almost instantly I look and there is the postive plus sign! I jumped up and started screaming and pacing back and forth freaking out by MYSELF!!! After about 10 minutes of some good praying time and screaming (with excitement of course) I look at the test again and one of the cross signs is now getting lighter and lighter. Well now I'm getting worried that the test could be wrong and I had to think fast because Carl was going to be home in two hours! I really wanted to make this special for him since he missed out on such a big moment. So...

I first decide I'm going to get the best digital pregnancy test there is just to be sure. I was really worried the test was wrong. Then, I call this store "Dilly Dally's" and explained to them my situation that I really wanted to surprise my husband in a neat way when he gets home and if they had any kind of books or anything that were about siblings, big brothers, multiple children, ANYTHING that it would work great. They said they would gather up some ideas so I was out the door and on my way. I had to hurry to beat the 5:00 rush hour and get back home before Carl! So I ran into Wal-Mart praying I did't see anyone I knew then rushed over to Pinnacle at the toy store. There the sweet lady found 4 or 5 books and one of them were perfect. I read them all and ended up getting a cute little board book that's called, "Daddy's Lullaby."
Without making this incredibly long ( I wish I could let you all read the entire book to get the full affect) I'll try to summarize. Basically, it's about this Daddy that gets home on Friday night from a long days work, comes in late at night and hears his baby crying up the stairs. So, he goes into the baby's room and "shhh's" the baby's bad old dreams away but the baby still isn't content. So, the daddy and baby go for a midnight stoll down the hallway. I'm getting ahead of myself. I get home, take another pregnancy test and of course it reads "PREGNANT." Duh Crystal. So when Carl gets home I visit for a few minutes and sit him down and told him I got him a present just because I thought of him when I saw it. I knew when he opened it he'd think it was a book he and Camden could read together. We both read to him every night. So as he's reading and flipping the pages he gets to this... "But Shhh... Shhh... Don't make a peep! Here's one big brother. It looks like he's had a good day!" There is a picture of the dad and baby looking into his bedroom where the little boy is fast asleep. At that point Carl looks at me and says, "Are you pregnant??!!!!" He got it! I screamed of course and said, YES, can you believe it?!! Then I jumped up and showed him the two tests with the positive results! He was so excited and it was so perfect that we had enough time to really take it all in before our sweet Camden got home. Carl said, "Maybe you should take another test just to be sure!" So I hopped up and said, "Here, I'll take one more since this pack came with two so you can enjoy the moment as well." Sure enough, you know what it said. We are just in awe and can't believe we're so blessed with another child! This was a complete surprise but a truly amazing one!

When we got pregnant with Camden we told everyone right away and I really do feel like our pregnancy dragged on, and on and on. So we always told ourselves that with our next one we wouldn't say anything right away. It's been so hard for us not to share this wonderful news with everyone, we just thought it would be easier on our family too so the pregnancy doesn't seem to take as long to everyone else.

The differences between pregnancies already have been night and day. With Camden I had a very easy pregnancy but was working and going to school full time. I instantly had to get up all night to pee and had tender breasts, increase in my appetite, a few hot flashes, I would get nausous if I didn't eat every 4 hours. Just so many things to remind me I was pregnant. With this baby, nothing. And when I say nothing, I mean NOTHING! I feel wonderful! No peeing all the time, no change in my eating habbits, haven't felt the slightly sick at all, no change in appetite. Nothing! Is this normal? Sometimes I even forget I'm pregnant! It's so strange and it makes it seem even less real but I can only hope this all continues from here on out. I'm just amazed that I have no symptoms at all. Actually, just within the last few days the exhaustion has started to kick in. I'm hoping I can kick that in another three weeks going into my 2nd trimester. If my calculations are correct our due date will be January 9th. We'll find out when we go for our 10 week ultrasound on June 15th!!!!!! GOD is amazing!!! :)
