BABY KING IS ALMOST HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! ONLY 7 MORE DAYS!!!!!
We had our very last Dr.'s appt. yesterday! We went in for the ultrasound and as we thought, the baby is BIG! He weighs approximately 9 lbs. 3 oz.! WOW! The best news though is that he's in the head down position!! We were really worried that he wouldn't have turned, but he did!
Our Dr. came and checked me and I'm still dilated to zero. I asked her if that was normal the baby being so big and me not dilated yet and she said it's very normal since it's my first pregnancy. He's just fat and happy where he's at! :) The doctor really left it up to us as to what we wanted to do. She said we can wait until our due date, but after week 39 he's only just packing on more weight. She's staying very strong with not taking him before 39 weeks because she wants to be sure his lungs are completely developed. Let me tell you though, I really tried to make something happen this week! No such luck though! That's alright, at least now we know there's end in sight and we just can't wait for him to be here! She did remind me not to rule out the possibility of having a c-section. She said with his size and me getting induced, there are often times where woman don't fully dilate, the baby's too big, his heart rate might drop, etc. and all of these could be reason's for still having a c-section. She said they're going to do everything they can to make sure I have a chance at a vaginal delivery so hopefully all goes well! Either way as long as the baby is healthy and safe that's what's important.
So this is our last weekend with just the two of us! Any suggestions?? Last weekend we went to the movies which was so much fun! I think this will be my time to relax and rest and prepare for what's ahead! Monday will be my official last day at First Security Bank so hopefully this week will just fly by!
OH, details....
We're going to Northwest Medical Center Tuesday at 5:00 pm. to start the softening of my cervix. From there she said the process takes about 12 hours so we'll be staying over night. Then, Wednesday morning she'll start the medicine for induction. So, more than likely the baby's birthday will be March 5th!!! I can't wait to share him with everyone!

Crystal, that is GREAT news!!! I'm so glad he's finally turned. How exciting that you know what his birthday will (probably) be!!!
Is your mom and/or Laura planning on being here? We'd like to bring you dinner once you get home, but we'll wait until any family help has left.
Call me when anything happens - we definitely want to come visit at the hospital. And if you need anything, just call - I'll be there!

Thanks Margaret! You have your hands full now too so don't go out of your way! We still would love to see Ethan again, it's just we've been so busy lately! I love all the updates that way I don't feel left out of the loop of things! I'm so happy he's gained weight! I'm anxious to get the boys together for pictures!
Laura booked her flight last night and she is going to be here by Tuesday afternoon (March 4th) and stay for about 3 weeks! My mom lives here so she'll be here for sure!

Ideas about what you should do this weekend?.....SLEEP! I know you're excited about seeing the little fellow after 9 long months (almost 10!) but he's definitely going to turn your world upside down for a while. Can't wait to meet him! Love, Aunt Debra
