Ice Storm 09'

For those family members who are out of state, we have experienced a HUGE ice storm here in NW Arkansas. There is well over an inch of solid ice and at least 1/2 inch to 1 inch more coming this evening. It's gotten worse throughout the day. As luck would have it Carl had vacation time he had to use up Monday-Wednesday so we've been hanging out today! More than likely we won't be going anywhere tomorrow either. We woke up this morning to a leak in our roof in our living room. It wasn't very big, but it was dripping down into our ceiling fan down onto the floor. Carl went up in the attic and looked around but saw nothing. After a few hours it stopped thank goodness. The weird part is that we just had our roof replaced a few years back from the tornado that hit through Centerton. We can't figure out where the leak came from but we're hopeful it won't be back! Here are a few pictures I took today of the thick ice...

Looking out our front door...

Look at how thick the ice is on our branches!

They're saying, "Please don't put us outside!!!"
