OH MY...

Camden is a crawling fool!! :) He's into anything and everything! I feel like the word "NoNo" is most popular these days. We've baby proofed our home, but there are still so many things he can get into. I love watching him move around the house so quickly though. His favorite new game is Hide and Seek. Carl and I will go in the hallway and say, "Camden, come find me" and you'll literally hear him panting and crawling the whole way there until he stops and slowly looks around the corner and I say, "Peek a Boo!" Carl on the other hand says, "RRRRRAAAAARRRR!!" I think for a split second Camden might cry and then it quickly turns into a laugh. I told Carl his voice is scary!!! Camden loves playing though. It's so much fun interacting with him in a new way.

The other morning I was in the kitchen and I saw Camden crawling to his bedroom. A few seconds later I called out for him to come in the kitchen which he's usually pretty good about. After a minute of silence I heard his bedroom door slam shut. At that moment it hit me. My baby isn't much of a baby anymore. I found myself walking to him bedroom door and knocking asking if Mama could come in. He was plopped right in front of the door not letting me in! It just hit me in a way that I realize how quickly he's growing up and I have to soak every minute of that in!

My crawling boy!

If you could hear him in the picture, he's growling! :)

This is what our living room looks like on a daily basis. So if you visit I'm sorry. But I refuse to pick it up when he drags it all out again!

We tried the whole Pack N' Play as a playpen while Mama got some house work done, but he didn't like it very well! Look at all the hair he's getting!

One of his favorite cereals are Cinnamon Life Cereal! Yummy~!

On this particular night we had just gotten home from church and they must have cuddled him lots in the nursery. He was SOOO tired!

He better kiss the pacy's away. They're soon going to be gone! Please pray for us all... :)

Isn't this the sweetest thing??!!! This was the morning of a very long night when Camden wasn't sleeping well. Carl and I had both taken turns with him this particular night and when I woke up this is how I found them while watching "My Friends Tigger and Pooh." Priceless!

And just an update, Camden is sleeping much better through the nights. After trying lots of different tricks we saw the pattern. The better and longer he napped throughout the day the better he slept at night. We realized that it made NO difference how much longer we kept him up at night so he continues to be in bed no later than 8:00 and he's napping at least one hour in the morning and afternoon and lots of times lately he'll nap two hours in the afternoon.

I do have to tell you all how proud Carl and I are of Camden. This is the biggest accomplishment for him. We've always rocked Camden for naps and bedtime. I LOVE rocking my baby to sleep. The great part was too that it's always been easy. But when his schedule got out of wack we were rocking him for 20-30 mintues which is just way too much. So Carl and I decided that after we give him a bottle and rock him if he's still not asleep after 10 minutes or so, we need to lay him down in his crib awake but sleepy. The first night he fussed for just a few minutes which was a huge shock to us and then every night got easier and easier. I couldn't believe it! Before if we would have put him to sleep awake he would have been hysterical! Now, as long as he's sleepy and still awake he settles himself down and drifts off to sleep. That was the problem too in the middle of the night that when he'd wake up, he didn't know how to soothe himself back to sleep because Mama and Daddy have always been there to rock him. He just started to change his sleeping patterns and this worked out perfectly for him. And us too! I knew we couldn't keep rocking him forever and I still enjoy rocking him to sleep, but if it takes us longer than 10-15 minutes it's just too much. So, way to go Camden!!! This is a HUGE accomplishment for him!! :)

Levi and I agree that he older Camden gets, the more he looks like you, Crystal!

I didn't know you were going through all that and I certainly hope you are back 100%! I hope Camden stays away from all winter bugs as well.

Stay safe on those roads and try to keep warm... and dry!

Love you guys! Glad you are blogging again and I can see Camden's beautiful face! He is SO close to being 1. AMAZING!

So glad you're feeling better and that you're blogging again. If it weren't for the pics I get on my phone, I would really be in withdrawal from seeing Camden's beautiful face! I love the pic of Carl and Camden sleeping!! The last time I spoke with you on the phone, you sounded so pitiful!!

Love you all so much!
